First Day of School

It's official, Beck has now started the rat race. The first day of school is here and he's got a rough schedule of 3 hours per day and four days per week. Gibson doesn't quite understand why he's not going, and thought that Beck would be around forever.

Ashlyn and Sadie were begging me to let them make a cake for Aunt Emily. I was trying to explain how far Utah is and how we probably couldn't mail a cake (they were disappointed). A snake, a baby squirrel, what's next?

Today at the pet store Dave and the girls were handed a baby squirrel to take care of. Hopefully it will live. So far it likes the kitten milk. Mark - you might want to postpone any visits planned our way in the next few weeks...the girls want to preserve this little squirrel. :)

Not so happy about what Scott found in the yard. The boys REALLY wanted to keep it as a pet, but I'm glad Scott decided we don't have the time to find things to feed it. :) I'm not as brave as Melissa...I know it would not be in the cage in the mornings, and I was not liking the idea of finding it under a blanket or something. Yuck-o. And, Beck was quite content to let Gibson hold it and use Gibson's body as a shield incase it got away.

Birthday Girl

Thanks for the Birthday wishes! We gave Kate her first present before I left for school, her first soccer ball. ...And Brian's wearing his "mug-lumps" (fuzzy socks, I'm pretty sure they're Jamie's). Hope you're all having a good day. Ashlyn, don't work too hard...

Don't get old too fast...when you get older you turn into a maid for your mama. When Ash was cleaning the bathroom today she told me to take a picture of her because she looked like a maid. "Chris is my friend"

Sadie was looking at the blog with me when she saw the picture of Chris at the top. That's when she said with a big smile on her face "Chris is my friend!" This picture was taken back in Tybee Island a few months ago...I think her hair might be a 1/4 inch longer now, if that.

Space Mountain Already?

Gibson is tall enough to ride Space Mountain!! I think he would be the only two year old to ever go on the ride as long as we get him there before Halloween. It might traumatize him for life however... These kids need a vacation after this house gets built.
