Knee Boarding

The boys and I went out on the lake yesterday, the water was too choppy for anything but knee boarding, but we all had a great time. I was real cool (as beck said) when I did tricks like standing up on the knee board, but my fall was the best I've ever caught on film...

I guess Goka has truly become a family member when she's allowed to fall asleep with Sadie and Meliss admits she "loves" her.

Crawdads

Sounds like everyone has been having fun in the outdoors. Sorry we haven't posted in a while, we've been at Tahoe, and then didn't have internet access until today. Anyway, here we are trying to catch some crawdads off some pier in Agate bay. We caught 8 of them, but then they stopped going for the bacon on our strings when Brian threw the whole package of bacon into the water.

Sliding Rock

I guess lots of Waltons were camping this weekend. We spent 3 days in southern North Carolina in the Pisgah National Forest. We had a blast going down the natural waterslide, hiking to cool waterfalls, grilling the trout we caught, exploring creeks for salamanders and eating s'mores. Too bad we couldn't do it all in our backyard like the Peoans.

Camping

We went camping last night in our new backyard, thought everyone might like to see our view. Beck and Dib had fun trying out their new chairs. We roasted some hotdogs and s'mores; Beck had no chocolate on his s'more, Gibson had only chocolate.

In other news, I had my "club" phase one testing this week and I'm axiously awaiting my results. Even if I pass however, they won't look at anyone for phase two testing until October. I start my new job on Monday.

Waffle Time!

Brian and I tried to make waffles for the girls. He looks pretty excited. We forgot to put in the oil, and man they were pretty gross.

Savannah, GA

The top picture is of the Spanish moss that hangs down from lots of the trees here (especially in Savannah). The bottom one is of us on a lighthouse in Tybee island. That's the Atlantic behind us! The water is warm and mild.
