Block bone grafts

This is one of the newer ways I've been able to growing bone to put implants in. The bone on this guy was knife edged (too thin for implants). The bone blocks (from cadavers) are shaped then screwed in place. In about 6-8 months his body will have turned it over into his own bone and be ready for implants (hopefully). Fun stuff! I hope everyone is doing well.

Happy St. Padraig's Day

We missed the St. Patrick's Day Parade for the third year in a row, so we decided to have our own. 'Twas a grand success.

Happy birthday to our special brother.

Its a boy!!!

I thought all we did was girls! We found out today we are having a boy. He was very active and very, shall I say, manly. The top one is the 3D picture of him cuddled up to the placenta. His right eye and ear are visible and his fist and forearm are in front.

The bottom one is the traditional. Best of all, his heart was beating away. We left out the pictures MORE indicative of his gender.

We're all pretty happy over here.
