


This is one of the newer ways I've been able to growing bone to put implants in. The bone on this guy was knife edged (too thin for implants). The bone blocks (from cadavers) are shaped then screwed in place. In about 6-8 months his body will have turned it over into his own bone and be ready for implants (hopefully). Fun stuff! I hope everyone is doing well.

Cool stuff, Dave. Do you ever use rhBMP as an adjunct to this technique?
Actually, BMP's just got approved. There's a researcher over here that says Nobel Biocare is going to start coating their implants with it. They say you can throw an implant at the wall and it will grow bone on it. We shall see.
I'm sorry, but that looks grotesque. Not your work, you are very clean and precise I can tell, but ugh, you can do this on other people's mouths and not get woozy?! I'm woozy.
