Columbo, we hardly knew ye.

In honor of Peter Falk's passing, here's a list of 'Dad Shows' that you never wanted to tell your friends you watched, but were actually pretty good (well, some of them were ok). Whenever you came home late, and went to check in, one of these shows would be on their TV:
1. Columbo
2. Hawaii Five-O
3. Perry Mason
4. Magnum P.I.
5. Matlock
6. Quantum Leap
7. Bilko
8. Simon & Simon
9. Murder She Wrote
10. Funniest Home Videos
Any others? (I'm not counting the current ones like Hamish, and Dr. Martin, et al.)

I have no idea what Bilko is, though I'm remembering he was a sargeant. Bob Sagat has to be the most loved and hated man of all time. Did Dad watch Quantum Leap? You are forgetting - picture it - a huey helicopter touches down and several medics run up to it with a stretcher. I might put the Fall Guy in there as well.

Also, you may be forgetting Cheers which whould go right between Columbo and Steve Magarret.

That's true. Maybe he didn't watch quantum leap. Definitely Cheers, and Taxi too. Yes, MASH. Remember Bilko was the guy fom Boatnicks.

Cheers, for sure. Taxi, though, I thought dad hated that show? I think Simon and Simon has to have the best theme song of all time.

I would also add Quincy, Mannix, McHale's Navy and Diagnosis Murder to that list. Don't you feel like we're still missing a couple of obvious ones, though?

What about Wings!!!
And pretty much any mystery TV show from the 70's-80's-90's. (Mannix!)
I ought to get credit for those since I watched them also with him. (Couldn't take Perry Mason, Untouchables or FBI though, the music was too scary!) That's OK because he gets credit for joining with me to watch Jane Austen and Bronte sisters movies & the like + all the Christmas Shows we can possibly watch every December.
We're quirky parents but we love each other and we love you all!
