Cathedral Lake to Yosemite Valley

Well, since I feel like the one who killed the Stone Roses trip idea, I'll be the first to post an idea for a backpacking trip. This isn't necessarily my first choice, but hopefully will get some discussion started.
Meet 1st night and stay at Tuolumne meadows campsite, get car situation settled. Start at Cathedral Trail next day AM, Stay one night at Cathedral lakes, Maybe one night on the trail, (Don't go to Sunrise Lakes) One night in little Yosemite, Half Dome?, done.
3-4 day duration.

Pros: We've all been here before and know what to expect.
It's mostly downhill, after you reach the upper lake.
Fishing Opportunities.

Cons: We've all been here before and know what to expect.
Getting permits to get on the trail, and separate permits to go up half dome are pretty tough.
Logistics of leaving a car at the start and end of the trail are a pain.
Bears, Rangers.

Its Yosemite, it would be really fun to try. I'll keep looking for other ideas, and look forward to hearing some from you guys too.

Chris, I blame Jason for the Stone Roses thing not working out :)

I think this might be a great trail to get the ball rolling. I think Tuolome to the Valley should be our fall back for sure if not our primary plan.

As soon as I'm not working till one in the morning I'm going to take some time to do a little research myself.
